An image of the Virgin Mary was found unharmed after a devastating fire in the Breezy Point neighborhood of Queens, NY, which completely destroyed over 100 homes in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Many other similar cases have been documented over the years, such as in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey (Los Angeles, 2017), Hurricane Issac (Louisiana, 2012), an Earthquake in Ecuador in 2016, a massive tornado in Kentucky in 2021, the Maui wildfire in 2023, and more. These cases have not been officially investigated as miracles, yet have attracted much attention of both local and national media outlets (such as National Geographic and the New York Times).
