Fifteen people witnessed the appearance of an altar with a cross hanging above it. Upon the altar was a Paschal Lamb, and next to the altar was St. John the Evangelist, St. Joseph, and Mary. The group prayed the Rosary as the apparitions remained, which lasted for the next two hours. A storm blew in, but the altar area remained completely dry. The site of the apparition, now known as Our Lady of Knock, attracts over one million pilgrims annually. Many healings have been reported there, and a large collection of left-behind crutches continues to grow.
