Prayer: Almighty God, I have so many favors to ask of you, and you already know my heart. Today I bring you a prayer dear to your own heart, one for inner conversion. Cause me to be reborn anew. Put to death my selfishness, closed mindedness, and pride. Rebirth me in your Holy Spirit, aligned to your divine will, as an instrument of your love in the world. Amen.

Verse: "What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be astonished that I said to you, ‘You must be born from above.’ The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” -Jn 3:4-8

Full Story

A boy named Sebastian, while still in his mother’s womb, was declared dead by doctors. Medical examinations revealed that the fetal sac had shrunken due to a lack of blood flow through the umbilical cord. To make matters worse, a tear in the amniotic sac had drained nearly all of the amniotic fluid, which is essential for the baby’s survival. In-utero tests confirmed that Sebastian’s heart had stopped beating. The following day, a second test also confirmed no heartbeat, and doctors declared the baby dead. They recommended surgery to remove the fetus. However, the family decided to wait, holding onto faith and the power of prayer. Zbigniew Chojnowski, Sebastian’s mother’s godfather, fervently sought the intercession of Stanislaus Papczyński, a 17th-century priest renowned for his devotion to the souls in Purgatory and his promotion of the Immaculate Conception. Zbigniew began praying a novena to Stanislaus Papczyński, asking for his heavenly assistance. On the eighth day of the novena, just before the scheduled surgery to remove the fetus, an ultrasound revealed something miraculous: Sebastian’s heartbeat had returned. Doctors found blood flowing through the umbilical cord again and that the tear in the amniotic sac had healed. Sebastian was born in October 2001, without complications. His family reported that he grew up healthy, suffering only from minor allergies. The Vatican investigated this event, concluding that there was no medical explanation for the revival of the fetus, affirming the supernatural nature of the event. The case was categorically considered as a resurrection.
