Full Story

Monica Besra suffered from an inoperable tumor which led to intense abdomen swelling. One day, Monica went to mass and saw a ray of light emit from a picture of Mother Teresa. Monica told this to a nun from the Missionaries of Charity, who proceeded to tie a medal of the Virgin Mary around her swollen abdomen. Eight hours later, Monica’s tumor had completely disappeared. Eleven doctors, only two of whom were Catholic, examined Monica’s case and came to the conclusion that there was no medical explanation as to how the tumor disappeared so quickly. During her life, Mother Theresa would often invoke the Blessed Mother and tangibly use the miraculous medal within the prayer. Pressing the medal on a injury, she would say, “Let Our Lady kiss where it hurts, and say, Mary Mother, be a mother to me NOW.”
